Across The Universe

Good, but with two glaring omissions4
The Across the Universe soundtrack is a very good example of what a talented director can do when given the proper time and money. The music is shown in a manner that is very ostentatious, but deserves its place as a proper musical soundtrack. And while the album is good, it lacks I WANT YOU (SHE'S SO HEAVY) - Dana Fuchs, Joe Anderson, & T.V. Carpio, and it is also missing WHY DON'T WE DO IT IN THE ROAD - Dana Fuchs, and while Dana Fuchs singing is not very pleasant to my ears, as I was not a huge fan of Janis Joplin, those songs are two heavy omissions from what is otherwise a perfect deluxe soundtrack. And while I would be remiss if I did not state how excellent some of the tracks are, like WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS - Martin Luther McCoy, and I AM THE WALRUS - Bono & The Secret Machines, there are some faulty and so to say lame songs on the album. But for those two mentioned songs alone, I would buy this album as I believe Martin Luther McCoy's version of WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS is better than the original. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase

Bueno, bonito y barato5

Great songs, great interpretations!5
I think the movie is excellent and with this soundtrack you can listen to the "why's". Even though Bono participates twice with "I am the Walrus" and "Lucy in the Sky", I beleive the best interpretations are "Let it be" and "Hey Jude".

Anyways, I loved all the songs, the entire soundtrack is just great!
