Proof that free songs sell albums
I downloaded this song and liked it so much I ended up buying both of her albums offered here. I have enjoyed Sophies music very much, and look forward to further releases. I seem to have a thing for canadian blondes, as Diana Krall is another favorite of mine. If you like well played jazz sung by a beautiful lady, Sophie or Diana are both good choices. Buy the album, you wont be disappointed.
Good song reminiscent of the Forties/Ronstadt
This review for the song "So Lone, You Fool" only, not the album. It is availabe as a free download now and so I checked it out.
If you've ever heard Linda Rondstadt's two albums she cut with Nelson Riddle that featured selections out of the Great American Songbook, Sophie Milman is very similar. To me, that's good. I really like Ronstadt's work. Ms. Milman has a smooth, evocative voice and the arrangement is complimentary and not over-done. The song itself is wonderful. I downloaded this tune from Amazon for free just to see what it was like. If you like American standards by a skilled vocalist, download this while it's still free and try it out. I'm thinking about getting the full album.
